How is a solar system sized for my home?
We start with your last 12 months of NV Energy bills, so the system matches how much electricity your home actually uses, including those summer AC months.
Then we look at your roof’s size, direction and shading, and at your electrical panel. NV Energy credits extra power you send to the grid at 75% of the retail rate for new customers, so a system sized to your usage usually makes more sense than the biggest one that fits.

How long does a solar installation take?
Your timeline depends mostly on permit approval, your HOA (if you have one) and NV Energy’s review. We give you a schedule during the design step and keep you updated at each stage.
How can I pay for solar?
You can pay cash, finance with a solar loan, or choose a power purchase agreement (PPA) with no upfront cost. With cash or a loan you own the system; with a PPA a third party owns and maintains it and you pay an agreed rate for the power it produces.
The 30% federal tax credit for homeowners who buy solar ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025, so be careful with older quotes and ads that still count it.

Can solar panels go on a tile roof?
Yes. Solar can be installed on tile, shingle and flat roofs using mounting hardware made for each roof type. We check your roof’s type and condition during the site survey.
Do I need HOA approval to install solar?
Many Las Vegas-area HOAs require an application before solar is installed. We prepare and submit the HOA paperwork for you as part of the project.
Will my solar panels work during a power outage?
Not on their own. For safety, grid-connected solar systems shut off when the grid goes down. To keep power during an outage, pair your solar with a battery.
How much does solar cost in Las Vegas?
EnergySage reported an average installed price in Las Vegas of about $2.41 per watt in September 2026, or roughly $33,270 for a 13.8 kW system. Your price depends on system size, equipment, roof and electrical work. We give you a free, itemized quote.
